September 8 Deliverables
September 8th Deliverables
On September 8th, BPS welcomed students back to buildings for the 2022-2023 school year. We also submitted the second set of deliverables to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) as part of the Systemic Improvement Plan. These responsive documents reflect many hours of hard work by the dedicated staff of Boston Public Schools. The memo below reflects the deliverables we submitted.
These documents fulfill our second set of commitments related to Student Safety, Facilities, Transportation and Data. As we move into the fall, we must continue our coordinated, all-hands-on-deck approach to implement systemic change. Looking forward, we will be receiving recommendations from external reviews related to Special Education, Transportation and Student Safety this fall, and presenting the Strategic Plan for Multilingual Learners. We look forward to hearing from the broader BPS community on these recommendations and plans and incorporating that feedback as we move forward.
