Elementary School - Grades K-5
ACEDONE
ACEDONE - Summer Learning Academy
Boston Public Schools, in collaboration with the ACEDONE, is offering a 5 week Summer Academic Enrichment Program focusing on grade-level academic skills in Math and English Language Arts. Our program is designed to prepare students for the upcoming school year and will count for credits for students who require it. This summer the program will be offered to students in 1st grade through 8th grade. In addition to the academics, students will be exposed to enrichment courses such as STEM, Art, Physical Ed./Health. We will also focus on building social and emotional skills during both the academic and enrichment portions of the program. Over the 5-weeks students will participate in field trips exploring experiences beyond the classroom.

Beantown Panthers - Skills & Drills
The Beantown Summer Learning and Enrichment Program will offer learning and enrichment before noon and basketball skill training, team play and instruction afternoon. Students will practice skills like critical thinking, social awareness, communication, teamwork and self regulation in morning sessions. Students will have the opportunity to practice these same transferable skills in afternoon basketball skill sessions. Lunch will be provided for families who chose not to bring a bag lunch.

The Blackstone Summer Academy is a 5-week, full-day learning experience for students. We provide a learning experience that helps prevent summer learning loss, eliminate opportunity gaps, foster social-emotional skills needed to be successful in school, and provide recreational opportunities to ensure wellness.
This program offers "Hub Stop" Transportation to interested families. "Hub Stop" Transportation provides buses for our summer students at specific locations primarily near MBTA stations. If you are interested in signing up for "Hub Stop" Transportation, please notify our program coordinator. The transportation department will send each family a mailer identifying the pick up/drop off times and location. Some travel to the specific hub stops will be required.

Dearborn STEM Academy offers a high-quality credit recovery program, open to scholars rising into grades 6-12. Students who were not able to obtain the credits required to advance to the next grade during the school year can recover credits with us over the summer for on-time graduation.

BBTE Summer Stuff Edits Boston's Bridge To Excellence (BBTE) is an extended day before and after school educational program for children from K0-7th grade. The Boston's Bridge To Excellence program is a licensed program with EEC. BBTE helps youth to build academic skills, develop leadership skills, and engage in experiential and service-learning opportunities so they have the tools needed to reach their full potential in a global society. No matter what school BBTE is located in, students will participate in our programs led by trained, dedicated, and caring educators who guide our students through our core program areas. These core programs include character & leadership, education & career, health & life skills, sports, fitness & recreation, and creative arts.

Center for Arabic Culture - Summer Learning Acad
Center for Arabic Culture Summer Learning Academy: Center for Arabic Culture (CAC) summer program welcomes students (K to 2nd grade) to learn general education subjects like English, math, science, and social studies. Our students also learn Arabic language and music. We teach through academic activities, music instructions, playtime, and artful adventures. Students learn to read, write and speak in Arabic.
Our general education and Arabic language teachers are certified and experienced to work with children from all cultures and backgrounds.
Students learn singing and playing Arabic music instruments with experienced music instructors who are graduates of Berklee College of Music.

Boston Police Activities League - Act Up with 5-0
Act up with 5-0 is a youth arts program which incorporates monologues, scene work, poetry, videography, photography and other variations of visual, performing, creative and technical art in an environment where youth are able to process and heal trauma through artistic creativity. Achieve - Summer Learning Academy
Achieve is an academic summer program hosted at Noble and Greenough School. Achieve is a three year commitment and students are accepted in the 6th grade through a rigorous application process. The Achieve summer session takes place five days a week (Monday to Friday) from July through August. Meals (breakfast, lunch, snack) and transportation are provided.
Students take classes in English, math and science
Students have one to two hours of homework each night
Each class is taught by a master teacher and a teaching assistant
Enrichment activities include dance, arts and crafts, anime, outdoor games, mindfulness and games and more.

IFSI - Summer Enrichment and Leadership Academy
IFSI Summer Leadership Academy is a wonderful program focused on academic skill building activities to reduce summer learning loss and enrichment-based activities. This includes music lessons, art, physical fitness, field trips, and STEAM projects giving students the opportunity to explore new interests that would not be traditionally available.
This program offers "Hub Stop" Transportation to interested families. "Hub Stop" Transportation provides buses for our summer students at specific locations primarily near MBTA stations. If you are interested in signing up for "Hub Stop" Transportation, please notify our program coordinator. The transportation department will send each family a mailer identifying the pick up/drop off times and location. Some travel to the specific hub stops will be required.

Northeastern U - Bob Case Acad Bridge to Calculus
Northeastern's Bridge to Calculus program will provide students high quality math preparation and PAID INTERNSHIP with the Department of Youth Engagement and Employment. The target student is someone who is a motivated and ambitious BPS high school students who want to enter STEM fields. However, we believe that higher education students should get a well rounded education, so we will partner with Cultural Collaborative, FMG Robotics and also provide opportunities to learn practical physics, video editing, photography, financial literacy and game programming. The students will also have fun with Art while weaving math themes. The students get to work on projects and present them towards the end of the program. Northeastern mentors and BtC alum will support students throughout the process.

SUMMER LEARNING DESCRIPTIONS
We are offering the following summer programs throughout the district:
Program Description Dates Summer Early Focus - Summary: The Summer Early Focus program builds on children's learning during the school year. It is highly engaging and child-driven. Two BPS teachers support up to 20 students in each classroom with our Summer Early Focus curriculum. BPS plans to serve approximately 500 students currently enrolled in grades K1-2. Students continue to engage in high-quality instructional practices, take field trips, and have structured and unstructured play opportunities.
- Eligibility/Registration: Families are invited to 5th quarter programs through their schools. Summer Early Focus and the locations are listed there. In addition, families who do not receive an invitation can sign up for these programs through their schools and/or through School Mint.
July 10 - August 11 Credit Recovery Programs - Summary: Credit Recovery Programs are offered by schools as a way for students to complete/recover course credits.
- Eligibility/Registration: Students are notified of credit recovery courses by their guidance counselors and other student support staff.
July 10 - August 11 English Learner Summer Academies - Summary: The BPS Office of English Learners (OEL) offers programs focused on grade-level academic skills in math and ESL/English Language Arts. The programs utilize a research-based curriculum and instruction that aligns with WIDA and CCSS to improve the English language acquisition of English Learners. The program plans to serve approximately 2,500 ELs currently enrolled in grades K1-11.
- Eligibility/Registration: School Mint. Families are invited to EL summer academies through their schools. English Learner students in Grades K-12 with priority given to compensatory students, SLIFE and ELD 1-3s. In addition, OEL invites our compensatory students for EL summer academies through our OEL family liaisons. Also, we will announce our EL summer academy opportunity in our upcoming LATF Newsletter.
July 10 - August 11 5th Quarter Summer Learning Academies - Summary: Summer Learning Academies are five-week, non-credit programs focused on academic acceleration and enrichment, run by a school or community-based organization with interest-based experiences, like outdoor exploration, sailing, soccer, or arts.
- Eligibility/Registration: School Mint.
July 10 - August 11 Extended School Year (ESY) - Summary: The Extended School Year is a five-week, summer program for students with disabilities whose Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Teams have identified are at risk of substantial regression of skills over the summer.
- Eligibility/Registration: Students are eligible per IEP only. Parents consent to these services during team meetings, followed by individual outreach to families each spring to confirm that their students will be attending ESY. Students are eligible for compensatory services per a team meeting and parents are informed similarly.

July 10 - August 11 Exam School Initiative (ESI) - Summary: ESI is a racial-equity initiative intended to expand access to students who have been historically underrepresented in exam schools as compared to the overall BPS student demographics. ESI will continue to serve students entering 5th, 6th and 8th grades. ESI plans to serve up to 650 students this summer.
- Eligibility/Registration: This is an invitation-only program. Families will be notified of eligibility.
