Dear Frederick Community,

We are so excited to welcome everyone back for another awesome year at the Frederick. It is our mission to help our students develop to their full potential.  The Lilla G. Frederick Pilot Middle School is a welcoming and nurturing environment that fosters strong achievement and positive connections to the larger community and the world our students will lead. We are feeling excited, optimistic, and hopeful about the 2019-2020 academic year. Our faculty and staff are busy planning and preparing to welcome our students back to the Frederick on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 9:15am.

At our school, students are offered a variety of academic and elective classes. Students will engage in English language arts, social studies, math and science content in all grade levels. Additionally, students are offered art, health, physical education, music and yoga elective classes. Students will enjoy a new elective class each quarter. This year our students will have weekly math and literacy interventions.  In addition, each week our entire community will engage in restorative practices and engage in weekly community circles to support stronger relationships within our school community.

Transformation Plan 2019-2020

This year we will use a Transformation Plan to increase positive outcomes for all members of our community.

We will focus on:

  • Ensuring academic achievement for all students
  • Implementing high quality instruction
  • Creating a safe and welcoming  school culture
  • Increasing our attendance rates
  • Providing support for all community members

With the support of our families working together with our faculty and staff, we know that 100% of students can be successful in our community. We are committed to creating strong connections with you in order to improve how we support our students. Please reach out to our teachers or administrators when you have questions or concerns. Thank you and we look forward to a great year ahead.
