Unfortunately December's meeting was a bit of a bust due to the busy holiday season and illness. However, our CityWide Parent Council rep, Chris Martell, informed us that the CPC has focused it's efforts around the superintendent search. He would like to speak on behalf of the collective voice of the Kenny at the next meeting. You will find an open-ended poll on the left, please take a moment to leave some feedback on what you would like to see in the next candidate. (Or if you feel more comfortable, you may respond to the questions via our email, firstname.lastname@example.org)
Sarah Curless, the Kenny's FoodCorps service member, recommended the parent council host an info session led by her boss. The intent would be to acqure feedback on the school's lunch program. Though many students bring lunches, this may be an opportunity to make suggestions on what kind of foods the school could offer to entice the kids. We will keep everyone posted on this initiative.
Currently, the Fundraising Committee is beginning work on the Annual Spring Fundraiser in securing donations for our raffles. We have an organized system of collecting donations, complete with donor lists, letters of donation request, ect. If you would like to help, please email the parent council. We have several ways you can be helpful, from door-to-door soliciting to filling out online donation requests from the comfort of your home. Every little bit helps.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the Parent Council Meeting on Wednesday, January 16, 2019!
