Monica Roberts, as Chief of Student, Family & Community Advancement, oversees Welcome Services, Family-Community Partnerships, and several other offices focused on building the capacity for schools to authentically and effectively engage with BPS families and external organizations.
As Chief of Student, Family & Community Advancement, Monica also oversees the student assignment process and is responsible for ensuring the integrity of those processes is fully maintained. She has spent 17 years in public education, most of which have been with the Boston Public Schools in various capacities. Monica is a proud graduate of Boston Latin Academy. She holds two master’s degrees from Boston College, one in Political Science and the other in Business Management; and a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University.
