Boston Public Schools (BPS) encourages students in grades 5 through 8 to take a tour of the district’s three exam schools.

Boston Latin School (BLS), Boston Latin Academy (BLA), and the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science are among the top-performing high schools in the country. They offer students a college preparatory curriculum, as well as opportunities for sports, student clubs, and partnerships with area colleges and businesses.

All three schools each year accept new students in grades 7 and 9; and the O’Bryant accepts a small number of students in grade 10.

Any student accepted into the three exam schools must be a resident of Boston; score well on the exam school entrance exam (the ISEE exam); and have a high grade point average.

Boston Latin School (BLS) has increased its number of tours for prospective students. From mid-November through mid-January tours are held during the mornings, evenings, and Saturdays. You can book a tour and view the entire schedule at bls.org/tours or call 617-635-8895.

Boston Latin Academy (BLA) will offer several tours from mid-November through late January. For more information or to book a tour, visit latinacademy.org/topic/help/admissions/; call 617-635-9957 ext. 130; or email edeluca@bostonpublicschools.org.

The O’Bryant School will hold tours in December and January. For more information on the admissions process, visit http://obryant.us/admissions or request a tour using this form. For more information, please call 617-635-9932.
