Student researchers pose with their Harvard University mentors and Assistant Superintendent of Engagement, Monica Roberts after their presentation on May 20.
Through the implementation of the Student Researcher Project, OOE continues to support BPS student researchers from the Dearborn, Urban Science Academy, Excel High School, and West Roxbury Academy. This past year, 7 students received academic credit for conducting youth-led research on school climate and discipline in their schools. Two students from each school surveyed roughly 100 classmates, analyzed the data and produced a report including recommendations for their school and district. Students presented their report and findings to district staff on Friday, May 20.
