Executive Session: The Boston School Committee will meet at the date, time and place listed above. The School Committee will adjourn immediately to executive session for the purpose of discussing strategy in preparation for negotiations with the superintendent-designate, a non-union employee; and strategy related to negotiations with the Boston Teachers Union. Such a discussion in an open session would have a detrimental effect on the bargaining position of this body. The Committee will return to public session.

International Travel Request: Boston Latin School – Quebec – May 24-27, 2019 - Approved by unanimous consent

Superintendent’s Contract Approval - On roll call, the Committee unanimously approved a motion to appoint Dr. Brenda Cassellius as Superintendent of Boston Public Schools effective July 1, 2019, and approves the attached three-year contract for the period commencing July 1, 2019 and ending June 30, 2022, with a two-year option to extend the contract from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024.
