• Our First Monthly Resource Fair!

Our first First Fridays Monthly Reource Fair was a great success! We served 82 families from our community and we hope next month we will be able to serve even more! This month we gave away groceries (apples, pineapple, watermelon, pork loin, potatoes, and lettuce!) from the Red Cross. We also had Rosie's Place doing advocacy for families--they help with utility bills, transportation, education and job searches and more. Our partners at Boston Saves launched their pilot financial check-up program and gave $25 gift cards to the families that participated this month. We also had sign-ups for families to schedule time to visits Catie's Closet. Next month we hope to have all that and MORE! Look out for updates about which partners will be joining us next month!

  • Welcome to the King K-8 School!

Located in the Grove Hall neighborhood of Dorchester, MA, the Martin Luther King Jr. K-8 School is an emerging community school that serves over 550 students in pre-kindergarten(K0) through grade 8. Our school provides quality educational opportunities for our students during regular school hours and beyond. We provide programming between the hours of 7:30am and 6pm with regular school hours between 8:40am and 3pm. The King, as it's known in the community, continues to build it's capacity to offer access and opportunity to it's students and families through the development of strong, strategic relationships with community partners.
