    Our Core Values

    Be Inclusive; Aspire to Excellence; Take Agency. We believe these values align with our vision and identity as a school community because they communicate inspiration, rather than simply expectation. We also  believe that these values not only apply to our students, but ultimately challenge all of us to foster inclusivity as a pathway to excellence so that ALL learners are equipped with the skills necessary to take agency and be a “mighty small force for good in their neighborhoods.”

  • My Way Cafe

    After a full kitchen renovation in the summer of 2018, the Shaw foundation and BPS launched My Way Café at the Mendell School in February 2019! My Way Café at Boston Public Schools brings fresh, whole, nutritious, delicious food to students every day for breakfast and lunch. Meals are cooked in school and hot and cold menu options change daily. Students enjoy trying new foods and the opportunity to choose what they eat. Monthly menus are in the quick links section on the right of the Mendell homepage.
