"The Wiz" Presented by Boston Arts Academy

Description

The Wiz, a musical inspired by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, is an urbanized retelling of L. Frank Baum's classic 1900 children's novel in the context of modern African-American culture.

Directed by Maura Tighe, BAA Theatre Faculty, the students of Boston Arts Academy, the city's only public high school for the visual and performing arts, are collaborating across disciplines to bring you a production to remember!

Join us in celebrating the success of our students. From front of house to back, they will be managing all aspects of the performance and they can't wait to show you what the future of musical theater in Boston has to offer.

The runtime of the production is approximately 2 hours with with one 10 minute intermission.
