Ruth Batson Academy

The Ruth Batson Academy 7-12 School is an open enrollment, 21st-Century, pilot school serving diverse students in an inclusive setting as they develop their capacity to become self-determined, independent learners to pursue their academic and personal aspirations.  Our school offers a rigorous, college preparatory course of study that embeds a culturally and linguistically sustaining curriculum with a specific focus on leadership and social justice

The Ruth Batson Academy 7-12 School provides:

  • Opportunities to enroll in:
    • Six AP classes
      • AP Literature
      • AP Language
      • AP Calculus
      • AP Statistics
      • AP Spanish
      • AP Psychology
    • Four levels of Spanish
    • A range of English and Math elective courses that include:
      • Teen Health Issues
      • Economics
      • Research and Activism for Change
      • Discrete Mathematics
      • Biomedical Science
      • Engineering Physics
    • We also have programs to support:
      • English Learners
      • Students with learning disabilities, including 
        • Students with Autism in the ABA Program
  • Access to dual enrollment opportunities at Franklin Institute of Boston, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and UMass Boston.
