School Information Sessions for the 2024-2025 School Year

    Before registering your student for a BPS school, we encourage you to research your student’s school choice options, learn more about our schools, and attend school information sessions. For more information on how and when to register, please visit www.bostonpublicschools.org/register.  

    Here are the important registration and assignment dates for the 2024-2025 school year:

    • The priority registration period for students entering grades K0, K1, K2, 6, 7, and 9 runs from January 4 to February 9.
    • Students registering during this period will receive their school assignments by March 31, except for grade 7.
      • Students that are entering grade 7 will receive their assignments by May 31.  This is due to the timeline for the exam school invitations, which are scheduled to go out by April 30.
    • The priority registration period for students entering all other grades runs from February 12 to April 5.  Students registering during this period will receive their assignments by May 31.
