Boston, MA - June 4, 2025 - Madison Park Technical Vocational High School is proud to announce and celebrate the outstanding achievements of its RoxMAPP Early College students who earned their associate degree from Bunker Hill Community College on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Throughout the course of the program, these remarkable students demonstrated exceptional commitment to academic excellence while completing rigorous vocational training and college-level coursework simultaneously. Their accomplishments are a testament to the power of determination, focus, and the transformative opportunities made possible through Madison Park's RoxMAPP Early College program.

This brings the total number of RoxMAPP Early College graduates in 2025 to 23, a record-setting achievement for Madison Park and a powerful example of what is possible when students are equipped with the right tools, guidance, and support.

Madison Park Technical Vocational High School is the only vocational high school in the Boston Public Schools district. It offers students a robust education that integrates academic rigor with technical training, preparing graduates for success in both college and their careers.

About the RoxMAPP Program

Designated as an Early College High School in 2019, RoxMAPP is a partnership between Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) and Madison Park Technical Vocational High School (MPTVHS). The program offers students free, BHCC-transferable college courses beginning as early as 9th grade. These classes count toward both high school graduation and college credit, allowing students to earn an Associate's Degree from BHCC by the time they graduate from high school.

Registration

The second round of assignment notifications for the 2025-2026 school year were sent out via email on Friday, May 30. These notifications are for any students who registered between February 10 and April 4, 2025. All grades were included in this round of assignments.

BPS Registration Process

We’re here to make registering for BPS as simple as possible! Just follow the six steps below, and your child will be enrolled in no time. We are happy to offer registration assistance in ten languages. For questions or interpretation assistance, please contact one of our four BPS Welcome Centers or call us at 617-635-9010.

Step 1: Review the school-age requirements for enrollment

BPS uses a home-based assignment plan to determine the schools available to your family. This plan uses your home address to create a personalized list of quality schools for which you are eligible. If a school does not appear on your list, you are not eligible to apply to that school. Learn more about the BPS assignment plan.

Special Admission Schools

Some of our schools require a separate application or run a special admissions process to be assigned. If your child is interested in attending one of these schools, you will need to complete the special application process and rank the school as one of your school choices on your BPS registration form. Both steps must be done. The School Choice tools and registration form will indicate if a school requires a special admissions process.

Step 3: Learn more about your school options, how to register, and how the BPS assignment plan works

Step 4: Gather your required documentation

To register your child for school, you must provide the following documentation. (Translated lists are linked below.)

Child’s original birth certificate, I-94 form, or passport (use of passport requires completion of BPS Parent Affidavit.)
Child’s up-to-date immunization record
Child's up-to-date physical exam record (within the last year)
Parent/Guardian’s photo identification
Two proofs of Boston residency from the list below. Items cannot be from the same bulleted category.

A Utility Bill (not water or cell phone) dated within the past 60 days
A Deed or Mortgage Payment dated within the past 60 days, or a Property Tax Bill dated within the last year
A W2 form dated within the year, or a Payroll Stub dated within the past 60 days
A Bank or Credit Card Statement dated within the past 60 days
A Letter from an Approved Government Agency** dated within the past 60 days. Approved Government Agencies: Department of Revenue (DOR), Department of Children and Families (DCF), Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), Department of Youth Services (DYS) or Social Security. Some communications on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Letterhead may also apply.

Step 5: Pre-register Online

Once you have researched your schools, and before completing your registration with a Welcome Center staff member, we suggest you get a head start on the registration process by pre-registering online. Pre-registration is not mandatory; however, it will save you time during your actual registration appointment.

Please note that Pre-registration is not Registration. You must speak with a registration specialist to finalize your registration.

Step 6: Complete your BPS Registration

Meet with a Registration Specialist to complete the registration process. You can do this by:

Calling 617-635-9010 to schedule an appointment; or
Visiting any of our Welcome Centers to complete your application.

BPS Welcome Centers are located in Dorchester, Roslindale, and Roxbury. They are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday from 12 noon to 5 p.m. A part-time site is also available in East Boston, which is open Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Support for Multilingual Learners

If your student speaks more than one language, they may need language testing. A registration specialist will help you schedule an appointment at the Newcomers Assessment Counseling Center (NACC). Language testing is conducted in person at the Bolling Building (2300 Washington Street, Roxbury). Once your student has completed their language assessment, you will be able to make your school selections.
