The BPS is committed to bringing Internet safety strategies to the members of its community. It is important for children to have access to the Internet. The internet can provide many wonderful and exciting learning opportunities for your children. It is an incredible tool that students can use to keep in touch with families and friends, perform research, and find information about anything they are interested in. The Internet is a community within itself that is open to anyone with a computer and a connection.
Just like any community, the Internet has dangers. These dangers can include harassment, bullying, cyber predators, identity theft, copyright infringement, or computer viruses to name a few. It is important for parents and children to learn effective strategies to avoid these dangers and provide a safe, responsible Internet experience.
