We Are All Connected
Blackstone Elementary is a diverse and dynamic public school in the heart of Boston’s South End. Our student body is made up of nearly 600 children, living in nearly every neighborhood in Boston, speaking at least 8 languages, and representing many different beautiful cultural backgrounds.
Our school’s guiding principle is Ubuntu, a Zulu word that means "I am because we are." We believe we are all connected and help each other learn, grow, succeed and become our best selves. Working together, we foster our core values: Be respectful. Be unified. Be excellent.
