As we plan for a successful school year, ensuring the health and safety of our students remains our top priority. There are important things we can all do to protect ourselves and our community from COVID-19. BPS works closely with the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) regarding all of our COVID-19 plans and protocols. Our strategy includes: masking, testing, vaccines and good air quality and ventilation.
To review BPS specific COVID-19 protocols for School Year 2022-2023, please see the column to your left. As we continue through the year, these protocols may change based on new recommendations from the Boston Public Health Commission.
BPS continues to stress the importance of getting vaccinated. We partner with the Boston Public Health Commission to share access to free vaccinations and will bring mobile units to schools and other BPS facilities as frequently as needed. For information regarding where you can get a vaccine, please visit the City of Boston's Website.
While COVID-19 remains our primary focus, we know that many families may have questions about monkeypox. Current guidance on monkeypox can be found at Boston.gov/monkeypox. We will continue to work with BPHC regarding any new updates families should know.
