    Dress Code Policy 

    School Year 2020-2021

     

    The King Elementary School will continue to have a dress code policy. It will be strictly enforced for school year 2020-2021.

    All students will be required to wear the dress code. 

    **Students are encouraged but NOT required to wear their uniform while they are at home learning virtually. Uniforms are required when students are learning in-person in the school building**

     

    *Shirt:

    Grades K-4 Solid colored, White, Light Grey polo/collared shirt - long or short sleeve.

    Grades 5-8 Solid colored White,Hunter Green,Grey polo/collared shirt-long or short sleeve.

    *Pants/Skirt:

    Grades K-4 Black pants, skirts or shorts (knee length, when in season).

    Grades 5-8 Khaki or Black pants, skirts or shorts (knee length, when in season).

    JEANS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR PANTS/SKIRTS.  All pants need to be worn on the waist. Saggy pants and short skirts/shorts are not appropriate and will not be allowed.  

    Footwear:

    Closed toed shoes/sneakers. No sandals or flip-flops. 

     

    *Shirts and pants should contain no embellishment (pictures or words) beyond the M. L. King logo.  Jeans ripped for fashion purposes are not allowed.

     

    *Outerwear /Jackets and Hoodies may NOT be worn inside the building, unless it’s a King Sweater. 

     

    Many clothing stores now carry a variety of school uniform items. Some suggested shopping locations include:

    Old Navy, Target, Walmart, Sears, Children’s Place and L&M Bargain Store. 

     

    T-shirts and sweaters with the King Elementary School logo can be purchased at the following L&M Bargain Store, Inc. locations. Contact or visit L&M Bargain for more details. T-shirts will also be available for purchase at the King K-8 school. Hunter green /grey polo shirts will also be available for purchase at King K-8 school during the Back to school barbecue in August.
