Math Curriculum Expectations
All classrooms will continue to implement the Investigations-III curriculum for the 2017-2018 school year.
Where can staff access math resources?
Go to bostonpublicschools.org/backpack. Click on "login through google". Log in with your BPS gmail account. Go down to the math section in the Clever backpack. Click on Pearson. It should have a list of all your classes. Click on Add Products for your class. Then go over to the right and click on Realize. All the resources should then be available. Then click on the Teacher Resources tab for the first unit.

Kindergarten: The Discovering Justice civics curriculum has been woven into the Focus on K2 curriculum.
Grade 1: BPS is expanding the K2 Discovering Justice pilot into the Focus on First curriculum. The Social Studies Dept will provide teachers with the curriculum, resources, and recommended points of alignment in order to address the civic standards for Grade 1. Grade 2: The BPS Social Studies Dept is collaborating with the early childhood department in writing the Focus on Grade 2 curriculum to ensure that the social studies standards are addressed within the curriculum.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum & The Wallace Grant
We are one of five selected schools to have been awarded the multi-million dollar Wallace Grant to implement a strong Social Emotional Learning curriculum at our school!
What will we receive as recipients of the Wallace SEL grant?
- A partnership with Playworks!
- Professional Development for teachers.
- The newest version of the Second Step Curriculum which includes online components, classroom resources, curriculum binders for teachers and more. (We are required to utilize Second Step with this grant)
- District-level support with administering student SEL assessments
