Turnaround & Transformation works with leaders across the district to coordinate supports for schools that have been designated Underperforming by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, as well as schools seeking to make transformative improvement outside the turnaround process prescribed by law. We focus on guiding school leaders through the Turnaround and Transformation processes, including planning, goal setting, monitoring, and demonstrating and documenting successes. The Office also supports district and school efforts to engage school communities in improvement processes, and to promote transparency and partnership at all stages.
