The Office of External Affairs (OEA) is designed to ensure the district is able to bring philanthropic resources to its 56,000 students, families, teachers, and administrators. Our core belief is that equity is at the cornerstone of transforming education.

We are committed to building partnerships and providing the BPS community with valuable resources. We are here to celebrate our school leaders, giving them the tools and support they need to engage with and make the most of philanthropic opportunities. There is an abundance of generosity coming out of the private sectors of our city and we want to make sure no one misses out.

Our mission is to help BPS students achieve greater success by connecting our schools with the funding, talent, and time that is best suited to their needs.
