Chief of Staff’s Office
The Chief of Staff’s Office supports the Superintendent and the entire BPS team in cross-functional work on high-level strategic priorities of the District.
Who We Are
The Chief of Staff oversees the Deputy Chief of Staff, Intergovernmental Relations, the Communications Office and manages the District’s relationship with the School Committee.
What We Do
The Deputy Chief of Staff coordinates School Committee planning and preparation and facilities and prioritizes the work of the Chief of Staff’s Office.
The Manager of Intergovernmental Relations is responsible for managing all relationships with elected officials, interdepartmental contacts and other stakeholders in the community and at-large.
The Communications Office works in coordination with the Superintendent, Chief of Staff and Mayor’s Press Office to manage relationships with media personnel. The Communications Office is responsible for effective, accurate and timely communications that promote the Boston Public Schools' mission, policies, values and positive district- and school-based events to a wide range of audiences, including the media as well as our staff, students, families, and extended community.
