Laptops for Learning (L4L)

  • Technology is the centerpoint of the modern classroom and in order for our teachers to be effective in a 21st century classroom, they must be equipped with 21st century tools! All classroom teachers are elgible to join the Laptops for Learners (L4L) program and receive a Macbook Air.

    FAQs

How do I receive a laptop?: All eligible users can log into BPS Learns by going to learn.mybps.org and logging in with your BPS ID number and password. Once in, select > My courses > then L4L V4. At the completion of the course, you will have an opportunity to submit a form to request a laptop. A laptop will be prepared for you. When it is ready for pickup you will be notified via email. If you don’t see the L4L V4 course listed under My courses, send an email to Krissy Matthews, Project Manager, for assistance with course access.

What is the Laptop Use Agreement (LUA)? BPS Technology understands that a laptop is important to a teacher's role, this is why the L4L program comes with an agreement that must be followed. Abuse of this agreement can and will result in a loss of eligibility from the L4L program. Click here to read the LUA.

I think I have a virus/malware: BPS Technology suggests running Malwarebytes. This software will scan your system for any known malware or adware, then gives you information about the adware found and removes it for you. Click here and follow the prompts.

I need to install iMovie and Garageband: Apple has changed the way users get apps, so iMovie and Garageband are not pre-installed on your machine. We make these apps available through our Self Service App. Click here and follow the steps listed.
