BPS Youth Voices
Boston Public Schools Office of Instructional and Information Technology is partnering with Adobe Foundation, Microsoft, Timothy Smith Network and SIM Boston in igniting young people’s Creative Confidence—the ability to harness creative skills to solve problems—thereby empowering youth to find their voice, make it heard, while constructively commenting on the world around them by using digital tools to create purposeful media.Since 2011 over 120 educators and over 4000 students from 42 schools have participated in the BPS AYV Project. This cohort of educators consists of a diverse group of teachers teaching subjects such as Multimedia, Science, History, Mathematics and Foreign Languages. At the heart of the BPS Youth Voices Project is the "Create with Purpose" educational methodology that provides youth & educators with the inspiration, training, and technology to create original, thought-provoking media works on relationships, human rights, the environment, and other topics.View student projects at BPS Youth Voices Student Projects Channel
