Office of Family & Community Advancement

  • The mission of the OFCA is to develop a district-wide culture of engagement and advancement, fostering and prioritizing partnerships between families, schools, the district, and our BPS community partners, with a shared understanding that each of us has an accountable role in every student’s success story, from enrollment through graduation and beyond.

Through an anti-racist approach, this includes providing the critical capacity building and resources required to:

    • Develop and deepen trusting relationships with families, which center on the individuality of each student

    • Amplify the voices of the historically marginalized

    • Authentically share in decision making

    • Provide equitable access to opportunities that are critical to ensuring achievement for each and every student in our schools.

The Office of Family and Community Advancement (OFCA) partners with families, students, staff, and the community to deliver nationally recognized programs, services, and initiatives designed to build and support the capacity for authentic engagement.
