Welcome to the Mildred Avenue K-8!

The Mildred Avenue K – 8 School is a school on the rise, and the Mildred Momentum is continuing to build!  Throughout the past five years, Mildred students have had among the highest student growth rates in Boston.  We were very honored to be a state-designated Level 1 School and to win the 2017 - 2018 EdVestors School On The Move Prize.  We were additionally honored to host both of the US Secretaries of Education during President Obama's tenure:  Arne Duncan and Dr. John King.

Everyday, our faculty and staff commit to maximizing the learning of every child.  We provide a rigorous curriculum at all grade levels and provide a small group support period everyday in which we customize instruction to the needs of each individual student.  In addition to our core instruction, all students take classes in vocal music, visual arts, physical education, swimming, theatre, and dance in our state-of-the-art facilities – which include a pool, dance studio, art studio, library, computer labs, and a theatre. All of our community members strive to live out our guiding values:  be responsible, be respectful, work hard and be kind.  As a community, we support our learners academically, socially and emotionally as part of the Mildred Family each and everyday!
