Succeed Boston

@ THE COUNSELING & INTERVENTION CENTER

We Plant SEEDS: Social, Emotional, Educational & Decision-Making Skills

About Us:

Stick figure planting seed

Boston Public Schools has long known that exclusionary discipline (e.g. out-of-school suspension) is connected to the school-to-prison pipeline and has lasting negative effects on all students in the school community.

Since 1987, Succeed Boston has provided social, emotional, educational, and decision-making skills to students in need of counseling and support services. In addition to these programs, our restorative practices / safe and welcoming school support is designed to reduce academic and systemic barriers that place children at risk.

What We Do

  • Bullying reporting and resources
  • Trauma-informed student programs
  • Professional development for BPS staff
  • Support the district's culture and climate initiatives facilitated by RP/SAWS team
