What is BSAC/Mission Statement

The Boston Student Advisory Council (BSAC) is a body of selected high school student representatives from across the Boston Public Schools. Student leaders represent their respective high schools, serving as the primary vehicle for student voice and engagement within the Boston Public Schools district. The Boston Student Advisory Council (BSAC) works to bring students together to elevate student voices and leadership in the Boston Public Schools community.

What’s the role of BSAC members?

  1. To work on policies and projects that BSAC develops throughout the year
  2. To engage in advocacy, community service, and student leadership campaigns
  3. To keep their school informed about relevant citywide issues
  4. To advise the Boston School Committee as part of its decision-making process

What schools does BSAC represent?

BSAC has 40+ active members from across 25+ BPS high schools. BSAC is committed to full representation across its members through different schools and grade levels. If you’d like to connect your school to BSAC, please do not hesitate to reach out to the team below.
