Health & Wellness
The Office of Health and Wellness leads the district’s efforts to implement a Whole Child (WSCC) approach by coordinating and evaluating the Wellness Policy implementation.
We collaborate across Academics, Accountability and Operations & Safety to build the capacity of schools to implement health-related policies, create safe, healthy and welcoming school environments, and deliver high-quality instruction, programs, and services to students and families. This includes implementing Multi-tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) and the HUB Community Schools strategy.
We lead district direction on tier 1 Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Physical Education (PE) and Health Education (HE) strategy, curriculum, and practices. We provide school supports to ensure every child, in every classroom, in every school, has access to high-quality health education, physical education & physical activity and SEL instruction, aligned with CLSP.
