Dear Boston Public Schools Community,

We are so excited to welcome our students back to school from summer vacation and celebrate the start of a brand new school year! This school year will be filled with so many new learning experiences, new opportunities, and new areas of growth both for students and staff.

As we welcome back our students and welcome new learners joining the BPS community, we remain deeply committed to ensuring that all our students have safe and welcoming learning environments that allow them to dream big and open new doors of opportunity to help them explore their passions.

BPS is committed to ensuring that all of our students have the tools and resources they need to succeed, including our youngest learners, who we are excited to welcome into Kindergarten. The Countdown to Kindergarten Team has been helping our youngest learners get ready for this big moment with many exciting events where they have received backpacks and supplies to support readiness for the first day of school.

We are also welcoming back students who will be our new class of High School Seniors, the BPS Class of 2024! This will be an exciting year of activities that prepare them for their next steps in their life journeys, learning about and deciding on college and career opportunities, as well as exploring passions through internships and experiential learning opportunities.

Together, we can ensure an amazing year of growth for all our students. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure that all students have the highest quality education possible - now and as we plan for the future.
