Policy Brief on Family Priorities for a Safe Return

Policy Brief on Family Priorities for a Safe Return

Climate Survey Item:

Based on your experiences in BPS, especially this past year, we are looking for ideas for returning, recovering, and reimagining what school could be. What would you want to see for students in BPS moving forward?

Survey Respondents
  • Respondents represent about 12.5% (N~4,900) of families in BPS, are under-representative of Black and Latinx families and over-representative of White and Multi-Race families in the district.

Major Themes from Family Responses
  1. Increased and improved communication
  2. Addressing health/COVID-19 concerns
  3. Return to full-time in-person learning
  4. Opportunities for social emotional progress
  5. Adequacy of educational resources
