Madison Park Technical Vocational High School (MPTVHS) is Boston’s only technical vocational high school. At MPTVHS, students are fully prepared for both a career and postsecondary education upon graduation, with 20 different Chapter 74 Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to choose from––from construction to communications, transportation to technology, and health care to human services. State-approved Ch. 74 CTE programs give students an immersive, hands-on education in a thriving industry in a manner unlike any other CTE program. MPTVHS’s unique pairing of academic and vocational classes pushes students to intentionally link academic classes to their vocational programs, deepening their learning and increasing the relevancy of their education to the real world.

Utilizing recognized industry standards for equipment, workmanship, and safety, MPTVHS works closely with industry leaders to prepare students for skilled, high-paying jobs in Boston’s diverse economy. Authentic, hands-on work experiences through the Cooperative Education Program (or “coop”) offer students in their junior and senior years a chance to earn a paycheck while heightening their interest, skills, and knowledge in their chosen career field, making them exceptionally strong candidates with future employers.
