Lesley Miller

Lesley Ryan Miller rejoins Boston Public Schools as the Chief of Teaching & Learning. Mrs. Miller brings to this position over 25 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher and as a school and district administrator. Most recently, she served as the Deputy Superintendent of Teaching & Learning in the Public Schools of Brookline. Prior to that she served as the Principal of the Pierce K-8 school, also in Brookline, which served over 850 students across three buildings.
Before joining the Public Schools of Brookline, Ms. Miller was the Director of Teacher Development and Advancement for the Boston Public Schools where she led new teacher induction, teacher leadership and professional development opportunities for all Boston Public School educators. This followed almost a decade of classroom teaching as a kindergarten and first grade teacher in the Boston Public Schools. Ms. Miller received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Boston University and holds a Master of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
