Dr. Christine Landry

Elementary School Superintendent Region 4

Christine serves as the Elementary Superintendent for Region 4, supporting school communities in Roxbury, Jamaica Plain and Allston/Brighton. Previously Christine served as the Assistant Superintendent for Academics and Professional Learning, overseeing the adoption of MassCore graduation requirements and the district instructional focus on Equitable Literacy. She started her education career as a Teach for America corps member in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and went on to be a teacher leader, literacy specialist and principal of a K-8 school in Oakland, CA, which under her leadership earned a Title I Distinguished School designation. She joined BPS as a principal in 2012 and has supported schools from the central office since 2015. In these roles, she has had the honor to collaboratively design and implement intentionally responsive, disciplined, and focused partnerships between the central office and schools in support of their instructional priorities.

Christine holds a bachelor’s degree in Government and American Studies from Wesleyan University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from San Jose State University and an Ed.D from Boston College. She also holds National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification in Early Childhood Education. She is a mother to three including a BPS educator.
