Anu Medappa Jayanth

Senior Advisor of Operations

Anu Jayanth serves as the Senior Advisor of Operations, where she provides district-wide direction, coordination, and leadership in the areas of traditional operations; capital planning; finance; human capital; safety services; and student support. Prior to this she served as the Assistant Superintendent for the Everett Public Schools, where she oversaw Finance and Human Resource operations for the district.

Anu has prior experience in BPS, having served as the Director of Grants and External Funding, where she provided fiscal and strategic support to schools and central offices to manage over 100 federal, state, and private grants totaling over $140 million. In her role at BPS, Anu was also instrumental in building the district's annual budget by managing grant dollars, projecting revenue, and building grant budgets for schools and departments. She also led the effort to create, implement, and manage the financial structure around Student Activity accounts and Before and After School Programs.

Anu also served in Chicago Public Schools, driving the development and monitoring of the Office of College and Career Preparation's $32M budget. Anu earned her MBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago and holds a Bachelor's in Business from Bangalore University, India.
