UPK at BPS Registration 

Register For UPK at Boston Public Schools (BPS) known as K0 (for 3-year-olds) and K1 (for 4-year-olds)

There is a geographic restriction for UPK at BPS that is tied to a family’s home address, which must be in the City of Boston. Families can view their school options at www.DiscoverBPS.org. Note that many seats fill by the start of the school year. Be sure to ask a Welcome Services team member about availability of seats.

Apply for UPK seats in Boston Public Schools (BPS) known as K0/K1 For School Year 2023-24

The priority registration period for UPK in Boston Public Schools classrooms (known as K0/K1) for the 2023-24 school year for children who will be three and four years old as of September 1, 2023 was January 4-February 3, 2023. Notifications will be sent by April 2023.

Priority Enrollment

Boston Public Schools uses various priority groups for enrollment in BPS schools.
