Omer Ismail, Student Representative

Omer Ismail is proud to serve as the student representative to the Boston School Committee for School Year 2024-2025. A senior at the John D O'bryant school of Math and Science. Omer is an honors student, BSAC leader and Harvard Crimson Summer Academy scholar. He is currently enrolled in college classes at Wentworth Institute of Technology and took classes at Harvard this past summer, he plans to pursue engineering post high school. Omer is a Roslindale resident and a first generation student from Sudan, the perspective of immigrant students is something he hopes to bring to the School Committee. Omer is excited to uplift student voice, bring student issues to the committee's attention and focus on solution orientated results.
