94 St. Alphonsus Street, Roxbury, MA 02120

  • Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mission Grammar School is an urban, college prep, school dedicated to reaching individual excellence in a closely tied community. We serve scholars and families from diverse ethnic, racial, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are an inclusive campus, where scholars learn from and are enriched by their peers. The strength of a school is in its community. Families, administration, faculty, staff, and scholars work in partnership to accomplish and strengthen academic and social success. In a society characterized by diversity, Mission Grammar commits itself to inspire each scholar with a desire to build just and enriching relationships and society. As part of a neighborhood rich in resources, we seek to continually strengthen student opportunities, support our teachers and fulfill professional development at all levels.

Beginning at just 3 months old, we offer a family-centered approach with the highest-quality curriculum as well as social and emotional learning with scholars up to age 3. Scholars further explore and utilize their own brilliance as they are immersed in a rigorous, standards-based curriculum with a STEM focus in K1 (4 years old) through grade 4. Our 5th and 6th grades are departmentalized in Humanities and STEM.

Our Pre-K program, in partnership with the Boston Public Schools, offers reading and math instruction using the BPS Focus on Pre-K curriculum, in which all of our staff have received extensive training. Located in the historic Mission Hill neighborhood and serving with a tradition of excellence in education since 1889, Mission Grammar serves infants through grade 6.
