Our unique approach combines project-based academic learning, field trips, and swimming instruction. For six weeks each summer, students explore science, music, theater, and art, in addition to reading and math lessons to combat what is known as “the Summer Slide.”

The program helps to achieve the following goals:

• Improve academic performance and motivation in every student by providing emotional and academic support
• Enhance self-esteem by mastering fundamental life skills, such as learning how to swim
• Foster a curiosity about the world by providing a variety of enrichment experiences at cultural, academic, business and athletic sites

Through a strong support structure of experienced teachers and staff, we help our students develop new interests and build long-term academic goals—all while learning the critical importance of cultivating relationships.

LOCATION: Dedham Country Day School (90 Sandy Valley Rd, Dedham, MA 02026) and Mattahunt Elementary School (100 Hebron St, Mattapan, MA 02126)

AGES SERVED: K1-K2 (Dedham Country Day), K1-2nd grade (Mattahunt)

The program is a 10 year commitment for families, entry point is K0-K1 (some K2, 1st and 2nd grade spots may be available)

TRANSPORTATION: To Dedham Country Day School (No Transporation to Mattahunt)

COST: Free for BPS students
