Nurtury Learning Lab is a state-of-the-art facility with LEED Gold Certification. It is the new home of one of the five oldest early childhood education programs in the United States. The program incorporates the most creative thinking and evidence-based practices, with the long-term objective of becoming a replicable, national model for delivering early education and comprehensive family services in an urban area. The program serves 104 (birth to five years old) and offers a robust education program that develops children’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language skills. Children who are second language learners are given equal opportunities to succeed in our classrooms. The goal is to have each child on track for success in kindergarten both academically and behaviorally. The Learning Lab will be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in 2020. All Nurtury Centers are warm and nurturing environments that stimulate the social, emotional, and educational well-being of each child, creating an ideal setting for children to be inspired, to learn, and prepare for Kindergarten. The program operates year-round. It is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and in the process of acquiring accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children ( NAEYC). It is managed by a full-time Lead Director and Assistant Program Director,10 Lead Teachers ( one in each classroom), 17 Teachers, and 3 Teacher Assistants. Free healthy snacks, breakfast, and lunch are provided daily.
