Nurtury Horadan Way serves as a home away from home for 120 children (birth to five years old) who live in the Mission Main Apartments and neighboring communities. Educators are trained to respect the individual differences in maturation, interests, and personality while nurturing the development of each child‘s self-esteem. The program offers a robust education program that develops children’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language skills. Children who are second language learners are given equal opportunities to succeed in our classrooms. The goal is to have each child on track for success in kindergarten both academically and behaviorally. All Nurtury Centers are warm and nurturing environments that stimulate the social, emotional, and educational well-being of each child, creating an ideal setting for children to be inspired, to learn, and prepare for Kindergarten. The program operates year-round. It is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care ( EEC) and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). It is managed by a full-time Lead Director and Assistant Program Director, 8 full time Lead Teachers( one in each classroom), 8 full-time teachers, and one Teacher Assistant. A designated Family Partner to lend support and resource referrals to enrolled families. Free health snacks, breakfast, and lunch are provided daily.
