  • The mission of the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center is to ensure that the children, youth, and families we serve have the resources and supports they need to achieve greater economic success and social well-being. Acorn Center for Early Education and Care provides working families a full day, dual language (Chinese and English), early education and care for children 15 months to 6 years. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

    UPK Hours: 8:30 AM-3:00 PM 

    Before/After School Care: Before-school care available 7:30-8:30 AM; after-school care available 3:00-5:30PM  

    Uniform Policy: No

    Language of Instruction: Dual Language Program: Chinese/English

    Enrichment Programs: Bilingual parent workshops, field trips, dual language (Chinese/English) curriculum instruction

    Community Partnerships: Tufts Medical Center, Tufts School of Dental Medicine, UMASS Boston, Urban College of Boston, Boston Children's Hospital

    Other Organization Qualities: "Green building" with two playgrounds, CACFP food programs, EEC subsidies, Headstart funding sources
