• School Fundraising for Field Trips

Field trips are an important part of students' learning experience.  Getting out of the classroom and seeing and experiencing the city and world around them enriches their in-class learning and curriculum.  Students are able to see and experience how what they learn in the classroom translates to the real world.  This experiential learning is beneficial for all students and can take many forms and covers numerous topics in history, science, math, art, music, literature, and more.  We live in an incredible city with countless learning opportunities and a rich history, we want our students to benefit from what Boston and its surrounding area has to offer.

You can donate towards field trips by participating in the various fundraising events organized by the school throughout the year, such as:

    • Box tops for Education
    • Stop & Shop A+ Rewards
    • $1 Dress-up Days
    • Scholastic Book Fair
    • Fall & Spring school pictures
    • Variety of catalogs
    • Spring raffle

All money raised through these efforts goes directly towards field trips.

Costs associated with field trips include transportation and entrance fees.  Most money goes towards hiring buses to get the students safely to and from the location.  When possible, teachers utilize MBTA buses and trains.  However, there are many learning opportunities that are not reachable by public transportation.
