Greetings GPA students and families,
I’m excited to be teaching fifth-grade math and reading at GPA this year! Many years ago, I earned my B.S. in Biology from Stanford University. More recently, I earned my M.Ed. in Special Education from Boston College. I have just started my second career, as for many years, I was a research scientist in Chicago, IL, where I researched ways to fight against the AIDS virus. Although I’m from Los Angeles, CA, I’ve lived in 12 different states. I now live in Hopkinton, MA, right down the street from the Boston Marathon start line. I’m very proud of my two daughters and two sons, who are all college graduates. Over the years, I have enjoyed traveling around the world with my husband to places like Mexico, Canada, Jamaica, France, Germany, and England to name a few. During my free time, I love to read, lift weights, and play Scrabble. Most importantly, I love teaching, coaching, and mentoring students to help them to reach their full potential in life.
