Update on Exam School Invitation Timelines: On Wednesday, March 3, 2021, a court hearing was held regarding this year’s admission process in response to a lawsuit that was filed. We will share any impact the case has on the admissions timeline here and send messages directly to families. Updates will be available every two weeks including adding content to the Frequently Asked Questions section as we receive inquiries from you.

BPS Welcome Centers in Dorchester, East Boston, and Roslindale will open on March 1, 2021 for in-person appointments.
There are two ways to register your student for Boston Public Schools for the 2021-2022 school year:

If you have registered for BPS and your student needs language testing, the Newcomers Assessment Counseling Center will contact you to schedule a virtual appointment for your student’s assessment. Appointments are conducted online or by phone. Once your student has completed their language assessment, you will be able to make your school selections.
