The focus of the Occupational Social Development Skills Center (OSDC) program is to prepare students for the “world of work”. As members of the Special Education team, OSDC builds social skills and personal independence to strengthen our student's capacity to adjust to the real world after leaving school. The core teachings of this program revolve around life skills inclusive of: building self-confidence, self-sufficiency, motivation, and resilience. The academic courses that students take are functional in nature, and serve as the conduit to help students succeed in the workplace and become productive, independent, and socially competent adults.
