GPA Family Council & The Governing Board

  • Family Council

    Who is the Family Council?

The GPA family council has as its mission to bring together the parents and caregivers of GPA students to stay informed, learn, build community, support our school, communicate with a parent perspective, to give a voice to all parents, and take an active role in the governance of our school through voting membership on the governing board.  Family Council meets monthly. We hope YOU join us.
There are babysitting & translation services available for all meetings. Here is a document outlining the family council
Mission Statement & supporting activities that we worked on last year.

    Parent Elections Process

The Gardner Pilot Academy Governing Board believes that parent voice is necessary to ensure the best possible decisions and educational opportunities for all students. Therefore, the Governing Board has reached out to the parent community to collect feedback on how to design a parent election process that is fair and inclusive, engages more parents, and promotes greater diversity of candidates. Based on parent feedback, the Governing Board has developed the following process for Parent Elections.
