    Having a hard time navigating all the resources we've been providing? Please see the resources cheat sheet document for a summary of the key resources out there - all in one place! 
     
    In addition, Boston Public Schools' readiness checklist packet is available! We have compiled a list of action items (per role - e.g. teacher, proctor, etc.) and in PowerPoint format so that it's "customizable" for your school! Check it out here! Note we may have to update the check-list time to time, so make sure to come back for updates!
     
    Lastly, please review DESE's guidance on Technology Skills for Online Assessments that students need to obtain.

    As schools and online assessments are becoming more digital, we're providing educators with information and PD resources to prepare students for the 21st century in learning. OIIT's Digital Learning Team will be launching a monthly newsletter in February that will feature technology tips, updates, events, and learning opportunities for BPS educators and students!
     
    Topics will include:
    • Upcoming Professional Development Opportunities such as workshops, webinars, and other offerings as well as updates from the Digital Learning Team
    • Learning Tips and Links to Resources to help you build your digital literacies and learn more about digital tools for the classroom
    • Social Media Updates including links to new blog posts from the DLT Blog and invitations to participate in #bpspln Twitter chat, and other opportunities to build your professional learning network within BPS
    • General OIIT Updates including purchasing information, or systems updates

    PARCC Tweets:
     
    1. The BPS PARCC Readiness Checklist is available now! The readiness checklist provides detailed tasks (by role) to help you prepare for PARCC. Please see this link!
     
    2. Schools: January's Network PD Materials have been added ! In addition, DESE's PARCC Accessibility and Accommodations guidance has been uploaded. Please see this link! 
     
    3. Schools and Parents: Review the PARCC Accessibility and Accommodations guidelines for ELLs, SwDs, and all students today. DESE (crosswalk – updated 12/2014) and PARCConline.org (interactive online module!) have provided great guidance on what is available to students. In addition, we have a matrix view of Accessibility and Accommodations you may want to see - all information is on one page!
     
    4. Schools: Take applicable training!  Please see this link to see which training modules apply to you (based on your assigned role at your school)
     
    5. Schools: Have students take the practice tests. Students should feel comfortable on how to use the equation builder, how to type (with the formatting tools), and the accessibility and accommodations features (e.g. screen reader, magnifier, highlighter, etc.).
