The Winship School is fortunate to have on-site Before and After School programs run by the Oak Square YMCA. To participate, please contact Mike Templeton (617-286-2686; mtempleton@ymcaboston.org) for more information or an application. Winship students also utilize Oak Square YMCA facilities throughout the winter for physical education classes. The Franciscan Hospital for Children provides one on-site counselor for Winship students. City Connects provides a full-time on-site coordinator who links children and families to community resources. The Winship receives tutors from many organizations, including Boston College's "Tutors for All," the Greater Boston Jewish Coalition for Literacy, the Boston University School of Education, and ReadBoston. BOKS is a FREE physical activity program that improves our children physically, mentally and socially by strengthening their minds and bodies through movement.
