Are School Committee meetings open to the public?
Yes. In accordance with the State’s Open Meeting Law, anyone may attend a public meeting of the Boston School Committee. They are also broadcast live on Boston City Cable, Comcast Channel 26, RCN Channel 13, and Fios Channel 1962. You can also watch a live stream here.
How can I participate in public comment?You may request to testify during the public comment period by contacting the School Committee office in advance at (617) 635-9014 or esullivan3@bostonpublicschools.org. A Google Public Comment Sign Up form is posted on the School Committee webpage two days prior to the meeting.
How can I find out what took place at a School Committee meeting?
Minutes of School Committee meetings are posted on the meeting archives page or can be sent to you via fax or U.S. mail by request.
How can I invite School Committee members to an event?
School Committee members welcome the opportunity to attend school events and other activities in the district. Please send invitations in writing to Executive Secretary Lena Parvex at least two weeks prior to your event.
How can I contact a member of the School Committee?
